Kynthia here, the person who first began building this website nearly a decade ago. I’ve renewed the site for another year because I’d like to keep it online, but I’m in a difficult position financially.

In December, I was unfairly terminated from my job, and at the same time my other job laid me off the next day. Despite eight years of full-time study to earn my degrees, I haven’t been able to find new employment since I graduated in June 2025. I have not been able to sign up for disability benefits or welfare due to the long wait times for each. My employment insurance benefits have now run out, and I’m covering my rent, food, therapy, and medication entirely out of my own pocket. Ontop of that, I need to pay insurance for the apartment I rent when I already have absolutely zero income currently. I also live with my disabled wife who I care for. To say that money is tight would be a severe understatement. I have no income.

I’m sorry for not making new articles in a long, long time. It has just been a sincere drain on my mental and emotional energy, which I only have very sparingly. Currently, the website has been renewed using funds from my credit card. Without intent to abuse the community this website has gathered, it would mean a lot to receive donations to help this website, and myself, be sustained just a little bit longer. The 100 dollars needed to fund this website another year has made a large dent that threatens my ability to eat this month.

Update: Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. With this money my expenses for the website have been covered. I was able to pay my internet bill and buy groceries to feed myself and my wife. Thank you all, genuinely– my soul sings calmer now. I thankfully have also been able to make contact with a social worker, finally, who is more actively reviewing my case for me to go on welfare while I continue job hunting. I pray you all have an amazing day and thank you so incredibly for this support. I pray to be able to continue work on this website soon (especially updating my very outdated citations).
